By booking and attending an appointment with LOVING LATHER PTY LTD, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions.

1 Bookings and Binding Agreement

All bookings constitute a binding agreement between the client and LOVING LATHER PTY LTD.

We reserve the right to request a deposit to confirm an appointment.

Failure to comply with these terms may result in refusal of future services.

2 Cancellations and No-Shows

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a charge of up to 50% of the service cost or an amount agreed upon between the business and the client.

Repeated no-shows may result in LOVING LATHER PTY LTD requiring a 50% deposit in advance to secure future bookings or permanent refusal of service.

3 Pricing Policy (Variable Pricing & Service Discretion) ⚠️

All prices provided are estimates and may vary depending on the actual condition of the dog.

The client agrees that additional charges may apply due to:

  • Matted or poor coat condition
  • Excessive shedding
  • Aggressive, anxious, or difficult behaviour
  • Size, weight, or handling difficulty
  • Additional time required
  • Need for additional staff assistance

LOVING LATHER PTY LTD reserves the absolute right to:

  • Adjust pricing at any time, including during the service
  • Modify or refuse the requested style
  • Determine the most appropriate grooming method
👉 IMPORTANT

The welfare of the dog will always take priority over the owner's preferences, including shaving the coat when necessary.

4 Service Duration and Additional Time Charges ⏱️

Each grooming service has an estimated duration, which will be communicated at the time of booking or at the start of the service.

The client acknowledges that:

The duration may vary depending on factors such as:

  • Coat condition
  • Dog behaviour
  • Size and overall condition

If the service exceeds the estimated time, an additional charge of $70 AUD per hour will apply, calculated proportionally to the extra time required.

Service time:

  • Begins when the grooming process starts, not when the dog is dropped off
  • Is determined solely by LOVING LATHER PTY LTD

LOVING LATHER PTY LTD reserves the right to extend the service duration when necessary to ensure a safe, appropriate, and welfare-focused outcome.

5 Pet Health Disclosure

The client is responsible for informing any relevant conditions, including:

  • Medical conditions
  • Injuries or skin sensitivities
  • Aggressive or anxious behaviour

Failure to disclose such information releases LOVING LATHER PTY LTD from liability for any resulting issues.

6 Right to Refuse or Stop Service

LOVING LATHER PTY LTD reserves the absolute right to:

  • Refuse service prior to commencement
  • Stop a grooming session at any time

This may occur if the dog:

  • Poses a risk to itself or staff
  • Shows excessive stress or aggression

In such cases, partial or full charges will still apply.

7 Risks and Liability Waiver

The client acknowledges that grooming involves inherent risks, including:

  • Minor cuts or abrasions
  • Skin irritation
  • Stress-related reactions

By accepting the service, the client waives liability against LOVING LATHER PTY LTD for minor, unavoidable incidents during the grooming process.

8 Matted Coat Policy

Dogs with matted coats will be treated under a welfare-first approach.

  • Shaving will be performed where necessary
  • This may expose pre-existing skin conditions
  • Additional fees will apply

This decision is final and non-negotiable.

9 Aggressive or Difficult Dogs

If a dog displays aggressive behaviour:

  • The service may be stopped immediately
  • Charges will apply for work completed
  • Additional handling fees may apply

LOVING LATHER PTY LTD is not responsible for injuries resulting from such behaviour.

10 Vaccination and Parasite Control

All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations.

Dogs with fleas or ticks may:

  • Be refused service
  • Or incur additional treatment charges

11 Payments

Full payment is required upon completion of the service.

LOVING LATHER PTY LTD reserves the right to retain the pet until payment is received, in accordance with the laws of Victoria.

12 Collection and Late Fees

Pets must be collected promptly once the service is completed.

A 1-hour grace period applies from notification.

Collection at a later time is acceptable only if:

  • It has been communicated in advance
  • It has been expressly approved by LOVING LATHER PTY LTD

Without prior agreement:

  • Late collection fees of $30 AUD per hour will apply
  • Extended delays may be considered abandonment under applicable Victorian regulations

13 Media Use

LOVING LATHER PTY LTD may use photos or videos of pets for promotional purposes.

Clients must notify us in writing prior to the appointment if they do not consent.

14 Weather and Operational Conditions

Appointments may be rescheduled due to extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control.

15 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

16 Acceptance of Terms

By booking and attending an appointment, the client:

  • Confirms they have read and understood these Terms
  • Accepts variable pricing and additional charges
  • Accepts variable service duration and time-based charges
  • Acknowledges that LOVING LATHER PTY LTD will make decisions in the best interest of the dog's welfare
